Autonomous status for a few colleges will be continued: UoM VC

Mysuru, Apr. 07, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The 3rd Annual General Body meeting of the University of Mysore Education Board was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore.Many-college-Autonomous-Status-Continuation-Mysore VV-Chancellor-Prof.G.Hemant Kumar
The meeting was held at the Vignana Bhavana, in Manasagangotri. In the meeting, approval was granted to continue the autonomous status given to the Government Arts, Commerce and PG College, Hassan, SBR Mahajana First Grade Autonomous College, JSS Arts, Science, and Commerce Autonomous College, B.N. Road, Mysuru, Government Science Autonomous College, Hassan, JSS Women’s Autonomous College, Saraswathipuram, Mysuru, Maharani Women’s Science Autonomous College, Government Autonomous College, Mandya, and Government University Autonomous College, based on the report submitted by the 2020-21 Review Committee.
Speaking on the occasion Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore informed that instructions have been given to all the above-mentioned colleges to ensure the presence of permanent teachers, take measures to improve the results of all the courses that are getting fewer results, provide good library facilities, etc.Many-college-Autonomous-Status-Continuation-Mysore VV-Chancellor-Prof.G.Hemant Kumar
Prof. R. Shivappa, Registrar, University of Mysore, Prof. G. Venkatesh Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Science, Prof. D. Anand, Dean, Faculty of Commerce, Prof. M. Talawar, Dean, Faculty of Arts, R. Dharmasena, MLC, Prof. Muzafar Asaadi and others were present.
