Auto drivers oppose weekend curfew: Express ire against State Govt.

Mysuru, August 8, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The State Government has imposed night curfew across the state and weekend curfew in eight border districts of the state, following an increase in the number of Coronavirus cases in the neighbouring Kerala and Maharashtra States.
Autorickshaw drivers, including unorganized labourers in Mysuru, have expressed their displeasure against the government for imposing a weekend curfew. “Let the government impose complete lockdown if it wants. Let it stop attacking the poor. The unscientific decisions of the government are creating a lot of problems for auto drivers. What is the use of imposing incomplete lockdown,” they have questioned.
They also said that if the government would stop running government buses at least it would help them. “What is the use of imposing curfew while plying buses. Buses on several routes are being run with only 2-3 passengers. Is not a loss for the government. They will also pass on that loss on the citizens,” they expressed their ire.
