27 from Mysuru and 6 students from Hassan are stranded in Ukraine

Mysuru, March 2, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “About 27 students from Mysuru have been stranded in Ukraine. However, one among them has returned, and the remaining are yet to be rescued,” informed Mysuru District Deputy Commissioner Bagadi Gowtham.
Speaking in Mysuru today, the Deputy Commissioner informed that the district administration has asked the tahsildars to meet the families of all those students in the district. “We are compiling information regarding those who are stranded in Ukraine. Whatever information we get, we will forward it to the government. The majority of these students are in Kyiv and Kharkiv, and a few of them are in touch, and others are not. If we establish contact with at least one, we can collect information of at least 7-8 others,” he said.
He also informed that there are also six students from Hassan who are stranded in Ukraine. “The Deputy Commissioner of Hassan R. Girish has informed that seven people have returned and six more are stranded. Out of the three of them are in Kharkiv, one in the Sumi region. Information of one person is yet to be ascertained. We will discuss with the officials concerned and make efforts to airlift all of them,” he said.
