23 die in Chamarajanagar Govt. hospital due to scarcity of oxygen

Chamarajanagara, May 3, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): In a tragic incident, 23 persons who were infected from the Coronavirus in Chamarajanagar, who were admitted to the Government hospital lost their lives due to scarcity of oxygen. The Deputy Commissioner of Chamarajanagara District M.R. Ravi in his response said that the district had not received oxygen from Mysuru and he would demand a report from the hospital about the reason for the death of 223 persons.
Speaking to the press persons at Chamarajanagara today, the DC M.R. Ravi explained that there are 120 beds at the District Hospital and there were 350 oxygen cylinders. The hospital requires 240 cylinders in a day and the hospital had not received oxygen cylinders as per the requirement.chamarajanagar- 22 patient –death-DC –MR Ravi
“I have spoken with the Chief Secretary to the Government. We have received 50 oxygen cylinders in the night and 30 in the morning today. An oxygen tanker will arrive from Ballari after 10 am today. Thus the oxygen problem in the District will be solved today,” he added.
